Being the adventures of Coby (single handing) and his 20' Pacific Sea Craft Flicka, as they brave the Pacific Ocean. Texted and dictated by satellite phone to his wife, Katja.
Where he is now he has all the options for landfall in Hawaii. I would suggest Kaneohe, Oahu, Hawaii...Very nice bay, Yacht Club that may take him in as transient, and amenities. Kaneohe is just a short hop over the Pali (mtns) from Honolulu airport. It's looking like he'll have the 8-10 knot breeze until 12-14 knts a ways out before Hawaii...good on him!!! google Kaneohe Oahu, HI and check it out. I'll call the Yacht Club and see what they'll do for him...

Katja,
ReplyDeleteKaneohe is a gorgeous place and has good winds, not as hot as other ports. It's about a $60-$70
Cab ride from Hono. air port. The town has everything you will need ...never say that to a sailor.
